Two males and two females, who were forcibly taken and were forced into arms training, miraculously escaped and surrendered to the troops at Pallimunai, Mannar, according to Media Centre for National Security.
Two males aged 15 and 20 and two females 15 and 23 came to the Navy camp at Mannar around 10.00 a.m. and surrendered. They are natives of Vidatalivu and Poonaryn, both in the un-cleared area. They told their tale of woes and experience at the hands of the Tigers, and wanted to surrender to the security forces, whom they trust most.
The MCNS said the Navy have handed them over to the Mannar police for debriefing.
