Governor of the Central Bank plans to develop local economy in two levels

Governor of the Central Bank Ajith Nivard Cabraal says the aim of the government is to develop local economy in two levels. Accordingly, comprehensive and sophisticated methodologies will be implemented. Many infrastructure facilities including roads, irrigation and power will be further developed under the comprehensive strategy. The Government has also planned to enhance employment generation through sophisticated mechanism.
The Governor made these remarks addressing the inaugural session of an international seminar organized by the Central Bank on the deployment of sophisticated financial strategies for economic development in Colombo today.
Representatives of 14 countries attend the seminar conducted at the Hotel Galadari Meridien till the 1st of next month.
