The Parliament is discussing a motion to extend emergency by another month.

Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva presenting the motion said the LTTE by now has faced a drawback locally and internationally.

He added the LTTE is stooped to such low low levels as attacking innocent Tamil civilians to cover their defeat. The tigre cadres are reported to be chasing away tamil patients from the Mulativu and Kilinochchi hospitals.

It has also been pointed out that 104  security forces personnel and 80 civilians were killed in terrorist attacks last month.
