Jeyaraj killing suspect dies in custody

A female suspect arrested in connection with the assassination of the former Minister of Highways and Road Development Jeyaraj Fernandopulle died in police custody on Sunday night, police said yesterday.
The suspect was detained at the sixth floor of the CID, where she took ill and was admitted to the Police Hospital where she had died, police spokesman senior DIG N. K. Illangakoon said.
The cause of death had still to be ascertained and would be made public after the post mortem to be held today (29), he said.
