Police arrested owner of the motor cycle which used to detonate Friday's bomb

Police reveal that the motorcycle of the suicide bomber involved in yesterday’s (May 16th) bomb explosion near the Colombo Hilton Hotel belongs to a associate of Pillayan named ‘Jana’.

A special police team in Trincomalee has arrested him under the suspicion last evening.Jana, resident of Palauththu in Trincomalee, is a prominent Tamil member of the TMVP and is currently engaged with a Muslim girl, a senior police officer said.

The owner was traced after investigating details on the motorcycle’s registration number with the Department of Motor Traffic.

Jana is being questioned at length, reports say.
