The Maha Nayake of Malwathu Chapter Most Venerable Thibbotuwawe Sri Siddhartha Thera says the public has a crucial role to play in the process of finding a lasting solution for the energy crisis of the country as well as the government.

The country has faced immense difficulties due to the oil price hikes. The Maha Nayake Thera emphasises all citizens should make commitments in the face of energy crisis. The Siddhartha Thera made these remarks at a ceremony held at Maha Nayake Aramaya to mark the 65th birthday of the Thera.
