We welcome the government’s move to open the A 9 route for the transport of goods, said the Bishop of Colombo.

All peace loving Sri Lankans will be happy to hear the government’s decision to transport essential goods, school stationeries etc. to the Jaffna peninsula. All parties, NGOs and LTTE must give their fullest support to implement this decision. This is our responsibility. This is not possible without the support of the LTTE when there are political differences as we have. Political schemes of both parties should give priority to the needs of the public, the Colombo Bishop said.
