Police nabs terror suspect- Kandy

The Kandy Police Wednesday (July 30) took custody of a terror suspect alleged to be an employee of a LTTE bank run in Puthukkudiyiruppu, Mullaittiuvu.

The suspect a 26 year old youth was arrested by a special team of officers, Kandy Police said adding that the suspect had conferred that he was visiting his sister now resided in Kandy.

The Kandy police are conducting investigations to establish whether the suspect was involved in any terrorist activities, the sources further said.
