Groups from India and Sri Lanka to present a show in Beijing

The concert opened with an Indian hymn called "Mysterious River". Performing the
song was the Shilong Chamber Music Choir from northeast India. The group was set
up in 2001 to enhance mutual understanding between different regions.
Later, the Soul Sounds Group from Sri Lanka took the stage in ruby colored
dresses. The all-girl ensemble enthralled the audience with their unique ability
to touch heartstrings.
The creator of the group, Soundarie David, is also a professional lawyer.
Their repertoire ranged from Western classics to traditional folklore as well as
contemporary pieces.
