Former President to visit India

Former President of Sri Lanka Chandrika Bandaranayake Kumaratunge is expected to visit India today. She is scheduled to visit Chennai and New Delhi, sources said.
She will meet the Indian Prime Minister Man Mohan Singh, Minister of External Affairs Pranap Mukarji, Defence Advisor M.K. Narayanan, External Affairs Secretary Shiv Sankar Menan and many others. There are possibilities of her meeting the President of the Indian Congress, Sonia Ghandhi.
Meanwhile, the Indian High Commissioner in Colombo Alok Prasad yesterday visited the former President and had a lengthy discussion for about an hour, sources said.
