The LIONS club celebrates its fiftieth anniversary tomorrow. The main event of the celebration is going to be a foot march from Colombo Municipal Council grounds in which around 5000 members will participate.

The LIONS club has been in service to the society for the last 50 years and has established several branches throughout the country. It conducts free medical clinics thereby serve the downtrodden people.

A thing to be mentioned proudly here is that the Senior Sri Lankan LION member Mahendra Amarasuriya has been elected as the chairman of the World Lion Clubs Association.
