Telangana fallout: India-Lanka Vizag ODI to be shifted
NEW DELHI: Board of Control for Cricket in India, on Monday, has decided to shift the second ODI between India and Sri Lanka scheduled to be held in Visakhapatnam due to the ongoing Telangana crises in Andhra Pradesh.
Due to the situation in Andhra, we have decided to relocate the India-Sri Lanka second One Day International match. The relocated venue will be decide today", BCCI said.
Earlier, Students apart, nearly 17 MLAs from East Godavari districts cutting across party lines have threatened to disrupt the match. The police also fear influx of protestors from other districts and pleaded helplessness in that scenario.
